We saw Dr Treptow, the surgeon on November 5th.   He did an exam again and went thru the possible scenarios for surgery.   The good thing is, he couldn't feel the tumor.  He will take a 2 cm margin around the tumor and hopefully be able to resect him at that time.  If he feels there is not enough good tissue to resect him but he feels he can with more time to heal he will do an ileostomy, a temporary bag.  Then 6 weeks later he will go back in an resect him.  And last (and worst case) if he can't do either of them he will have to make it permanent.   Absolute best case is that he would get in there and the tumor would be GONE, healed in Jesus name!   And if that is not in the Lord's plan that resection while removing the tumor would happen.  He thought he'd be in the hospital 5-7 days.

Surgery is scheduled for December 4th at 9:15am.   We would appreciate so much your prayers!

Doug has been feeling a little better every day.  He's back working on airplanes (as opposed to doing scheduling, office work, ordering parts etc.) which is his preference.  Actually, he's back to doing both!   I can't express enough how thankful we are for Summit Aviation working with him thru all of this.   Really an organization of highest integrity.

So in the past few weeks my hubby has been metal detecting, put new brakes on the car, brought 2 trailer loads of wood home, helped load and unload one of them and generally just tried to do all the "normal" things.   Most of the wood hauling has been done by Eric and I but he's pretty stubborn!  He's back up to 161 lbs. and looks good.  I think he needs to gain more before surgery as he's going to be on a liquid diet for a little while so will lose again.   We're continuing the Isagenix shakes and supplements as well.

Eric's band is back to practicing in our garage.  And it's OK!  I try to provide the pizza and Barq's root beer and they are happy campers!  :)

Eric has his application in at Atwood's (new farm and home store) just west of Lowell.  Please pray with us that he would get hired.    He's definitely ready.

We've been busy at FedEx already.  A lot of folks are on-line shopping this year (myself included) so it's going to get very interesting!   I will be off December 4th thru (at least) the 13th and possibly longer depending on how things go.  I feel bad about being gone thru black out days but, it is what it is and my family comes first.

Doug goes in for pre-registration and pre-op tests on Wed Dec 27th.   Eric will be able to be with him for this. The nurse thought it would be chest x-ray and blood work.

Thanksgiving will be at Mike and Ronda's.  My sil is a GREAT cook and we are looking forward to spending time with family.

I pray you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving season.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!
