I am wayyy behind. So this is not catch up time but just what's happening today.
We had an appointment with Dr Treptow today. The last day of the strong antibiotic (Flagyl) was Monday. He is still very weak and as he puts it "feels like crap." He actually seemed stronger when he left the hospital Aug 14th. He is however getting a little stronger each day. Dr Treptow seems to think the C-diff has run its course and now it is a matter of regaining strength. We also saw Dr Wilson (Wednesday) and he had his 5th light therapy lymph node treatment and is beginning to see results from that. Backing up, it is a therapy to get the lymph system going to move toxins out of the body. She recommended he start back on the strong probiotic on Saturday. He's been taking a few other supplements as well.
Frustration is not even a strong enough word to describe the feeling going on around here. We could throw a LOT more adjectives in there! He just wants to be well and go back to work. On the flip side, he does not have a bag. I know there are days however that he would trade that back just to feel well again. This was supposed to be the "easy" part. Sometimes things are not as "we" plan.
So, we trust God and his plan and continue moving forward. Honestly friends, we covet your prayers right now. It will get better, we know that. A tangible improvement would go a long way in helping the attitude.......if you catch my drift! :)
So that's the scoop.
Things we know for certain:
God is Good ALL the time.
He loves us.
We trust Him and His plan for our lives.
