Doug heard from Mayo on Tuesday.  They requested his records of course so I got that process started.  H.O.G. should have them ready by Friday (2 copies) and Mercy will mail them to us.

Doug is really not feeling well at all.  Most of the time he is ok as long as he is laying down.  Just as soon as he gets up and around the pain kicks in.   We had an appointment with Dr Treptow today.  We let him know we had requested an appointment with Mayo which he is good with.   At our last appointment he was to consult with Dr Friesen about hyperbaric treatment.  He said Dr Friesen agrees that anyone who has had radiation can definitely benefit from h-treatment.  He said it "may not" completely heal him but it should definitely give him some relief.  He thinks the area is "ulcerated"  but he didn't know how much.  Also that down the road, should he need another surgery that h-treatment would also definitely help.

When I got home Doug was in bed (where he's been most of the afternoon / evening.)   He said they had called about getting in to see Dr Rogers (who was going to be the 2nd opinion.)  The earliest he can get would have been November 5th.  We just opted out of that one.

Oh, and in other news, I came home on Monday (long break) and there was an Arkansas Highway Transportation Dept. card in the door, ("please call)

Doug called her and she came over Monday evening.  Bottom line is, the road widening is continuing and the road will come 6 feet from our  house.   6 unsafe feet.   After a lengthy discussion she headed back to Little Rock and said he would advocate for us.   Please keep this a matter of prayer as well.

Thank you ALL for your continued prayers.''

We love you!

Jan, Doug and Eric
