Yesterday was the "official" 2 year anniversary of Eric's remission. GOD IS SOOOO GOOD! Our children are not ours, they are given to us as a gift. We are so priviledged to be chosen to be Eric's parents and GOD chose to use the cancer season as a learning experience. Our sermon this morning was in the book of John where God prunes the branches so they will grow. We sure learned a lot during this season!
We went to Springfield this weekend for one last get away before school. We had supper with friends in Nixa Friday night, stayed in a nice motel, swam Saturday morning then went to Bass Pro and the Wildlife Museum. We had a great time. We celebrated by getting Eric his first Daisy BB Gun. We got home and he and dad watched the safety video, went through the safety book, then went out and had safety lessons, complete with safety shooters glasses. Doug is a great teacher and this boy definately knows the rules to safety in gun handling! And, he REALLY likes it and takes the initiative to do it on his own. I think he's found his niche!!!
So much more going on but I have to be to work early tomorrow so will sign off for now. Plus the first day of school is tomorrow! Not real happy about that but still prayed for protection and guidance and an exemplary year. It's definately time!
