It was a blessedly uneventful day.  This evening a group had sponsored supper for everyone on the floor that was inpatient for free!  Chicken strips, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, roll and banana pudding.  Doug went to the cafeteria and brought it back to the family room.  I insisted we all eat together.  After supper Eric and I walked for about 30 minutes.  It's the first time he's been off the floor except for procedures or scans since Saturday.  He did really well but was ready to come back to the room.

We were blessed that our friend's son was in Little Rock and driving to NWA tonight and Doug was able to catch a ride home with him.  Thanks Wiechman's!  The best part was that Eric's friend Wes was able to come up and visit.    Wow, Eric needed that badly.   Doug and Wes left here just after 7:30 so we've just been hanging out.

Shift change was at 7 and God sent us the nurse and PT that Eric needed tonight.  Mary is a little older but what a straight shooter.    Talking about how he's feeling and flat out said "are you a little anxious?"  he said he was and she goes "well that is understandable, let me know if you want something."  She just lays it out there, he likes that.   The PT's name was Chris.  He told us he was a foster kid till the age of 8, was adopted twice (he didn't expound on that one) got burned over 80% of his body (and neither of us can remember how) and wrecked his motorcycle going 100 mph without a helmet.....and (obviously) lived and spent LOTS of time at ACH recovering.  When he woke from the accident he had to re-learn everything.  He was only 28 and was really beginning to connect with Eric.  Then he said he's the floater tonight so he got sent to sit with a sick baby in ICU.  Not sure if we've even been assigned anyone, we are low priority tonight.  Just getting fluids, no blood (yeah!) vitals every 4 hours and phlebotomist will come in to draw blood around 5.

Eric is pretty anxious about tomorrow.  We went thru the "possible" scenarios.  The bad and the good.  Thank you again for your prayers.
