It was a nice uneventful night last night. Was only up 3 times in the night for bathroom help. Amazing what a decent night's rest will do for you!
Eric is very sore, especially his neck. We are going to get him up and out off this floor today, he needs a change of scenery.
The Dr was in early this afternoon and said there were lots of baby red blood cells in his bone marrow so they are still checking that. The pathology report is not back either but she is hoping to know something tomorrow. She said the pathologist stopped her in the hallway and wanted to know "how her patient with the blood issue is doing?" Dr Cleary said she's very interested in his case, especially because of all the blood tests she's been doing on him. (Told ya they'd taken a lot of blood:) So she's going to check pathology later to see if she has a result yet. She asked Eric if he had any questions and he just bottom lined it "so does the lymph node show cancer?" She gave the same answer but don't you just love the 16 year old," just give me an answer already?!!"
His hemoglobin only went down to 8.7 (yesterday was 9.1) though, so that is good news. TMI alert: his urine which has been a dark brownish color is much lighter today. They will check his labs again early tomorrow morning so no blood today. I'm telling you friends, prayer works!
So we're hanging out in the most expensive "hotel" with no pool we've ever been to.
Side note, I'm in the family room. Two moms that know each other are talking. I'm not evesdropping but one of them has the worst news ever, there is no treatment other than a clinical trial, that they can do for her child. Please join me in praying for this family.
Hopefully more later.

Whenever we had long stays in the Children's hospital, there were always other families who had it so much worse than us. Praying for others around us was always a humbling and precious honor. And it reminded me that I was never in control and to rest in the Savior's care of my son. Reading about your current journey really takes me back to some of ours. It always broke my heart to see a baby or a child without the constant presence of a parent there.
