To begin with Thank You for your prayers. The nurse was able to stick Eric just once for the IV. He bled and bled but finally got it stopped. His platelet count was 1, which is basically zero per Dr Succente. She said she is worried about why it dropped so low so fast. The previous treatment IVig's should have lasted 4-6 weeks and lasted less than 2. Yesterday he was pre-medicated with IV Zofran, Tylenol, Benedryl and a medicine for the gum bleeding orally. Then the Winro only took about 5 minutes to push IV. Then we headed home. He slept almost all the way home and boy did I want to. Thanks Juil for talking me over the mountain. The rest you see is on the previous post. He was warm through the night last night but was normal temp when he woke up this morning. It has been a lay low day. His petechiae is better but has brownish colored urine and the whites of his eyes are yellowish, both side effects of the Winro. We go in Monday for another cbc and hopefully a normal platlet count.
Have a great weekend!

Jan, that's so weird with it dropping so fast. Did they have any ideas or did they do tests and will let you know? Will continue praying. Hope you get some rest.
Hugs from Colorado!
